I’ve looked at my reflection
Not hoping for rejection
Am I wrong to reflect on?
Beds I should not have slept on
Am I so fragile?
Am I but skin and bone?
For all my overtures
Is my life just on loan?

Check on my vital signs

Despite my good intentions

I’ve lived out my pretentions

Fought to get my way
