King Jesus Was His Name

VS 1		Born a little baby down in Bethlehem,
		Born in such a time with all the best of them.
		Nothing ordinary ‘bout this little babe
		King Jesus was His name.

		All the rooms were taken down in Bethlehem,
		Joseph knew his chances--they were less than slim.
		In a stable Mary saw His tiny frame,
		King Jesus was His name.		

CH		There a lowly manger served as Jesus’ bed.
		On  a straw pillow Mary laid His head.
		As she sung a lullaby she kept Him warm.
		There in Bethlehem the blessed Son of God was born.

VS 2		Shepherds in their fields were tending to their sheep
		Suddenly the sight of angels made them weep;
		“The Messiah-He is born”, they would exclaim.
		King Jesus was His name!	

CH		Celebrate with angels, shout the news abroad.
		Tell the world that Jesus-He was sent from God.
		Shout a hallelujah,with the angels sing.
		Celebrate the birthday of our Savior and our King.

VS 3		Magi from the east without a main address,
		Guided by a star with heavenly GPS,
		For the babe in Bethlehem they quickly came.
		King Jesus was His name.
