Georgina 

I watched her moving slowly
A shadow on the floor
Her tears they fell like summer rain
Georgina was her name

She came from a local village
Wore flowers in her hair
And I would give a thousand kisses to see
Georgina everywhere

I laid her down so gently
As she gave a gentle sigh 
As I touched her breast so slowly
I watched the moon in her eyes
She is mine for the taking
And Georgina was her name

Wasn’t long before we married
Put the rings upon our hands
We would run the bliss of seasons
And we begun to farm the land
We were all that we could want for
And Georgina was her name


But the time, the time was plenty
Came the ills and pains again
She lay down never to rise again
And I watched her slip away
