Pay no mind


    Set out to sea to find the horizon- with a pin hole leak, the water keeps rising.
It feels like we’re breaking, strong and then we’re shaking- how did it all get out of hand?
I know we’re gonna make it, this time we’re gonna take it-  it’s clearly not all in my head.

    Pay no mind to me sinking back here.  Give it some time and I’ll rise up like a tidal wave.   Come around and we’ll get another try.  I don’t know when but I think it’s gonna be alright.  
  
    A needed retreat,  it took weeks to find me.  I have to remind you, sometimes we have to look after ourselves.
Pulled into a rough spot, prayed until we got luck. Took an oath and swore to never leave.
Looking back on it now- I want to hold you. We needed room so we could breathe.

   This is where we would meet as we make it complete. Happy ending won’t fail, we’re bound to set sail and be on our way.
