Such A Mess

I don’t know how, I got in to this mess
I’ve shaken it off, but I can’t forget
I’m changing my ways, for better or worse
It’s like changing the song, but keeping the verse



Gone crazy, phased out
Saw Jesus, made me shout
Touch of heaven, touch of faith
All I needed made me straight



I’ve taken a leaf, out of my book
Advice that I gave, never brought me much luck
The sweet taste of pain, distilled in a wine
Contradicting my thoughts, took over my mind


Look forward, don’t look back
Inner vision, makes you slack
See the future, take no strife
Hold on to what you get left in this life


I don’t know why, I’m telling you this
In truth it’s a lie, it’s a poisonous kiss
Set no standard, set no pace
I’m moving my path, not to change face
