Well it's a special time of year
when Christmas time is here
but it sure as hell's not like it was before
there's frost out in the grass
and the glögg is in my glass
but commercials scream out loud
you need more!

They show me all
that I should buy
to fill that hole inside
those magic christmas feelings
I get two for the price of one
well that's a real good deal but I
feel that I need to say no
cause yours is not the Christmas
that I know

All I want is silent nights
in the glow of candle lights
not the madness of this plain commercial show
a son was born unto this earth
I'd like to think about that birth
but I'm too distracted now
