One Welcome Worn Thin

She says he’s worn his welcome thin,
And he best be contemplating movin’ on again.

She says its simple, not tres complex
And he best be simplifying where he’s headed next.

I agree it seems funny, he stayed too long
A young man with an old woman in her mountain home, for too long.

She says its final, no ands or buts
And he best unhang his clothes and pack them with his grass.

She says he scared her, his silence e and his steam
Now he best think of her house as somewhere he’d once been.

I agree he seemed moody over the years
But her not-so-subtle farewell’s all that’s needed here.

She says he’s worn his welcome thin
Now he best be contemplating moving on again.
