UK-based Mike Donaghy is a Singer-Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2009, he released his first LP, January Never Came This Year, and in 2010, he had a Top 10 in the Folk download charts. In 2011, he released his debut album, I Wish You Well, donating earnings to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. In 2011, his song, Brighter Days, became The United Nations peace song. Mike’s music and songwriting create a unique sound of Folk, Americana, and Bluegrass that will bring excitement, vitality, and vision to your creative inspiration.
Mike Donaghy grew up listening to the sounds of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, John Prine, The Beatles, and Van Morrison. He was fortunate to be part of a musical family, and reside in a home that was never short of instruments. His father worked as a TV Producer and Director, and more importantly, on music shows!
Mike plays guitar, piano, mandolin, lap steel, pedal steel, banjo, ukulele, and saxophone
