Ricky Davenport is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and recording artist from Illinois. He began playing music at the age of 12 by experimenting on an Acoustic guitar and quickly developed a strong obsession with heavier genres. Ricky graduated college with a degree in Radio-Television specializing in audio with a minor in music. He now has a mid-grade basement studio where he spends his free time experimenting with composing in new genres and learning new creative recording techniques. His influences include Nine Inch Nails and Deftones.
Ricky Davenport's strongest influences include Meshuggah, A Perfect Circle, Rob Crow, Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, Korn, Tool, Steve Reich, and Maurice Ravel. He is currently writing an EP under his name which he performs on all instruments except drums. Ricky is also in the process of writing another EP with four other long-term collaborators in a lower tuned, more aggressive sounding band called Core. He has been a part of several other bands in the past and has had brief collaborations with a few other musicians with one being Widek.
This is an electronic piece composed primarily utilizing heavy 8-bit techniques and synths. There is some acoustic guitar included to create an organic element.
