Lyrics:
Theodore Knoring
There once was a boy named Theodore Knoring,
Who sat in his tree house and sang out, “Boring!”
Until one night a space ship touched down,
On Theodore Knoring’s own back lawn!
A beam of light flashed in his eye.
He jumped out of bed and dashed outside,
A silver-haired space girl stepped out of the ship—
Said her name was Star and they talked for a bit.
Four little aliens were dancing on the lawn.
Theodore met them before too long—
Beezer, Tweezer, Snooze and the pilot Lop—
They said, “Widgy---Wodgy!” and went on with their bop.
Star said she lived east of the Milky Way
Where the grass is violet and dragons play—
Where pink pear bushes grow as sweet as you please,
But it broke her heart—they had no trees.
So he gave her an acorn to plant at her home—
She gave him a pink pear all his own,
She climbed aboard and waved good-bye
As her space ship rose into the sky.
Now Theodore looks out his window each night,
And thinks of Star—what a pretty sight!
And never again will Theodore Knoring
Sit in his tree house and sing out, “Boring!”
