DREAMS OF MEXICO  

There’s an image in my dreams,
Swaying palm trees in the breeze,
And haunting scenes not long ago,
Of that hotel in Mexico,

We lay together in the sand,
Don’t need Tequila, thank you ma’am,
We’ll just watch the breakers roll,
And let our laughter soothe our souls,

In dreams of Mexico,
I remember her,
The way things used to be,
When she was still with me,
My heart demands I go,
Though it may break I have to know,
If she only waits for me,
In dreams of Mexico,

Words that haunt me every day,
Are the words I didn’t say,
That made our moment in the sun,
So very quickly come un-done,

Unlike so many memories,
That quickly fade then set you free,
Hers will never let me go,
I can’t forget she moved me so,
