Jean de Aguiar studied classical guitar for many years with such prestigious masters as Alberto Ponce and Raphaël Andia. He has a degree in baroque guitar. Passionate about South-American music, Jazz and improvisation, his eclectic taste has led to him composing music for TV shows such as “Genie in the House” (Nickelodeon) or animated feature films such as “Moomins on the Riviera” which was nominated in 2016 at the Los Angeles Animation Film Festival. The release of his album Acoustica in 2018 marked his return to the acoustic guitar.
Jean de Aguiar has expanded his capability into many fields of the music business. He has meddled in movies like "Moomins on the Riviera" (PikTak handle production), and he has had worldwide releases in Theaters, including the U.S. He worked on records with Marc Almond, Dusty Springfield's last album, Paul o' Duffy, and Howie B, to name a few. He built his label SoleMio records as a tool for composing and producing various artists and spreading creativity all around the globe.
