IV the Polymath (Science Fiction Tracks)Home: USA IV the Polymath is an innovative, versatile and prolific music composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. From Indiana, IV combines innovative production techniques with his live instrumentation (guitar, bass, piano, synthesizer, organ, percussion and others) to produce tracks of uncommon originality. He has released 14 albums to date in addition to composing music for television commercials, films, and various major video projects. His work is acclaimed for combining old-school sounds with fresh, contemporary compositions. |

IV the Polymath is an original and widely accomplished musical artist, composer and producer. His music is rooted in the influences of Motown and such other artists as Herbie Hancock, Charley Mingus, and Pete Rock and is intended to evoke feeling and other conspicuous behaviors in people. His work has been featured on Sirius Satellite Radio, XM Radio, WEFUNK Radio, National Public Radio, BBC Radio, HipHopDx among other major outlets. He has collaborated with many other artists on a variety of music projects and, in March 2010, he was named “Featured Producer” by Subsoniq Instrumentals. IV is an impressive creator, and his music was featured multiple times on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," and more recently, one of his tracks was used by Subaru Canada for inclusion in a nationwide car commercial. With nearly 100 tracks, his music is perfect for TV, film and other video projects. While his creations are nearly exclusively instrumental, many of his tracks include chants and other non-lyrical vocal sounds and special effects including a unique combination of Hip Hop, Funk, and Jazz. |
