Francois Maugame is a French music producer and composer with tracks that include orchestrated Soundtrack-scores, Picturesque and Emotional Corporate Sound, Dance Orientated Electronics, Smooth Ambient, and Magic Chill-Out tracks. He composed music for brands like Mercedes, Audi, Henkel or St. Gobain and also scored TV-Documentaries for the American market. Francois studied Music at Hamburg University and later worked for different studios as a programmer, sound engineer, and composer.
Francois Maugame is a musical chameleon who finishes off a Drum'n Bass session late at night and starts the next morning with composing a Waltz on demand. He was born in France and set over to Germany at the age of five being raised in Berlin and Hamburg where he started playing the cello and piano very early. As a teen, he played the cello in the school orchestra, where he loved to play Kashmir by Led Zepellin and songs from the Beatles. He also started to experiment with Electronic Instruments like Synthesizers, Samplers and Effects, which he could borrow from his musical teacher leading to his first Electronic improvisations which he recorded on tape.
Fascinated by musical styles like Avantgarde, Classical Filmscores, Synthesizer pioneers like Yello and Kraftwerk, Industrial, Metal and Pop, he started to compose tracks in many different styles and played in three Bands at the same time.
