Mays & Corn are the songwriting duo of Clifford Mays and Michael Corn. The two have co-written a large body of critically acclaimed songs, recording/performing them with their bands "Heydevils," and "The Great Red Shark." Their style includes Pop Acoustic Folk to heavier Post-Modern Rock and many genres in between. Mays & Corn also compose music for film/TV and are currently composing for the Emmy winning series "Leah Remini: Scientology & The Aftermath," and the Emmy nominated "Intervention" & "Wahlburgers," all on A&E.
Hailing from New York, Mays & Corn met in the 90's and began composing together. Their first album was an EP titled "Corcovado Sunday," and yielded the standout track "Queen of Take," which was featured in the closing credits to the feature film "Farmer & Chase" starring Ben Gazarra, and performed by "The Great Red Shark." The duo morphed from "Shark" to "Heydevils" as the new millennium approached, taking on a harder, edgier sound. "Heydevils" released three studio albums, and several songs were placed on the popular soap, ABC's "All My Children." The band was also critically acclaimed by The Washington Post, as they were linked to the D.C. area by rhythm guitarist Doug Derryberry.
Following their urge to continue evolving as songwriters, Mays & Corn began to write more Acoustic oriented songs by the mid-2000's, along with instrumental music for film/TV. To date, Mays & Corn have their music in over 150 TV shows, along with films and advertisements, and are releasing a brand new album in the fall of 2017!
