Kaki is a collaboration between musicians Kathy Brown and Jean Michel 'Kiki' Aublette. Both are composers and multi-instrumentalists, with Kiki's versatile musical talents also being matched by his proficiency with studio technology. Writing and creating, Kaki has produced a portfolio of over 50 works and songs for projects. As one reviewer describes, “Kaki's passion for music is wonderful to see and hear, and even better to experience!” John McLaughlin.
Both musicians were born in the same year, with Kiki studying at the Académie De Musique (Foundation Prince Rainier Iii) in Monaco. A drummer and bass player, with keyboard proficiency too, Kiki's performance credits include Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Shirley Bassey and the Jazz great John McLaughlin who also wrote and dedicated a track to him, 'Kiki' on his Black Light album. Kiki is also a part-time professor at the Monaco Conservatoire where he enjoys working and inspiring the next generation of musicians. Kathy studied at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in England, graduating with honors and the Dean's prize. As a violinist, Kathy has worked with Classical organizations that include the CBSO, the London Mozart Festival Players, The English National Touring Opera, the RSC, and she played Electric violin at Ronnie Scotts. After then leaving music for business for some years she has happily returned to her roots.
