Christos Papadopoulos of Cypress is a founding member, Bouzouki player, and composer for “Ta Paidia ap’ tin Patra," one of Greece's most popular bands in the 80s and 90s. He has composed popular music and performed with some of the greatest Greek singers, and collaborated with musicians in Asia, Africa, and the Balkan countries. Christos has been hailed as an outstanding Greek and World-music composer and Bouzouki virtuoso. His discography started 35 years ago and includes more than 30 original releases.
Christos Papadopoulos has performed in numerous venues like the Herodium, Hobart Concert Hall, Patagonia Concert Hall, and Thessaloniki Concert Hall, and at many international World music festivals. For seven years Christos hosted an influential World-music Greek TV show “Harin Efonias." There he performed and improvised with over 120 Greek and international musicians. In 1998 he began composing music for Greek TV series and films with great success. Christos has composed 13 soundtracks -- nine for TV series and four for films. Many of these releases reached platinum status in Greece. Christos began on the mega-channel TV series "Kati Trehi Me Tous Dipla," and followed with the TV series “Mavros Okeanos (Black Ocean)" which was filmed in Africa. His film credits include: "I Love Karditsa" with the Greek band Onirama, "Larisa Empisteftiko" with Greek pop singer Nikos Makropoulos, "Gabroi Tis Eftihias" with Greek band Melisses and “o Klearchos, I Marina ke o kyrios Kontos” with popular Greek singer Ploutarchos.
