Independent UK artist Danny Kyle is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and teacher with a lively thumb-driven acoustic guitar technique to rival the very best. Most notably, he performed with Nicky Moore’s Blues Corporation and has studied American roots and Blues guitar with guitar maestro Mike Dowling in Wyoming. Danny’s songwriting is a lovely combination of the old and the new where guitar tradition meets inspiration. Swinging Ragtime, 20’s and 30’s Jazz, bouncing Country Blues, deep Delta Blues, and melodic Piedmont Blues are all here.
Danny Kyle creates Traveling songs, Spiritual songs, instrumentals, and Ballads with occasional touches of Latin, Calypso, and Gypsy Jazz. With a penchant for a well-crafted tune and a way with a poetic lyric, his style is at once highly melodic, rhythmic, and engaging. Intricately finger-picked instrumentals, haunting melodies, and beautifully emotive bottleneck-slide guitar are key in his compositions.
Danny is a classically trained musician who has been performing, composing, and teaching extensively for years. He has two solo albums “Easy Street” (2004) and “Wood’n’Strings” (2011) and has toured extensively as acoustic guitarist with Nicky Moore’s Blues Corporation, appearing on the CD “Hog on a Log” (2007). Respected by his peers, Danny was asked to perform at the Registry of Guitar Tutors annual conference in 2011 and conducted a seminar on solo acoustic guitar playing.
