Based in the UK, Jimbobal is a Grade 8-qualified bass player (London College of Music), musician, and songwriter. He has played in various bands throughout his career including top-function bands, original bands, and in bands as a session bass player. With 25 years of songwriting and performing experience, Jimbobal displays a songwriting skill that is varied and musical. Drawing on a wide variety of experiences molded his distinctive compositional style in Rock, Pop, Folk, and other genres.
Jimbobal's influences include The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Radiohead, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Jeff Buckley, Midlake, and Jaco Pastorius.
His first solo album was released in 2018 and was a retrospective of solo demos put together since 1993. He will also be releasing the first EP with the band THWP as well as continuing to perform the function circuit with The Cover Loverz.
