In the summer of 2012, Greek artist Yorgos Panagiotopoulos was asked to compose original music for the stage-play "The Frogs" by Aristophanes, and to score two short films. He left 17 years of playing with various bands to create music for commercials and corporate videos in Britain, France, and Greece. Yorgos is a self-taught composer and multi instrumentalist. While much of his music combines the Orchestral Epic sound with Ethnic elements, multi-layered drums, and Electronic textures, he also likes to create simple, hypnotic piano pieces.
Yorgos Panagiotopoulos has worked as a pianist, drummer, and bass player with various Jazz and Funk bands. He also plays guitar, accordion, various percussion, and various ethnic stringed instruments, mainly of Greek origin. Yorgos has also worked as a recording engineer for several years, as a radio producer, and has taught piano, drums, and music technology in several music schools in Greece.
