Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, Berk Varol started his music career at the age of 16 as the frontman on vocals and guitars for a critically-acclaimed EP with his Metal band Polarized. Berk started working as a tonmeister in a recording studio where he designed, engineered, and edited a vast number of diverse musical sounds in genres like Rock and Alternative. In 2003, Berk took a bold step into the gaming industry as a digital native and an avid gamer. His compositions and sound design elements are inspired by and for popular culture.
Berk Varol has also shared the stage with some of Metal's most influential bands like Tiamat, Septicflesh, and Rotting Christ.
In the early 2000s, he learned new technology that replaced the old and he focused his drive to keep the music moving and meet fans’ needs to discover new artists in a rapidly-growing music sector. He has worked for global leaders in gaming, led go-to-market campaigns for hit titles, produced creative works, and more –- all while composing his music as a storytelling device.
Berk believes that music is an instrumental link between the screen and the audience. In addition to music and games, he is passionate about TV, movies, and all kinds of visual storytelling.
