Leiza Michaels is a versatile Entertainer, Singer, and Songwriter based in Florida whose dynamic style is at home at the Plaza Hotel and in Jazz haunts like Smoke and Blue Note. She has performed Jazz standards from The Great American Songbook in Europe and the US, and currently appears in Southern Florida. Her new album was co-written with Jay Carney of Starburst Records. Leiza’s songs express her love for the music of luminaries Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Irving Berlin, and her tune "Pure White Snow" pays homage to Billie Holiday.
All music and lyrics were co-written by Leiza Michaels and Jay Carney and their fabulous team: Dave Francis - Upright Bass, Recording Producer, backup vocals on Some Kinda Girl, Tommy Harden - Drums and Percussion, Catherine Marx - Keyboards, Kerry Marx - Electric Guitar, Jim Hoke - Saxophones and Chromatic Harmonica, Paul Mullen, Co-writer on Some Kinda Girl and overall collaborator, Marv Treutel, Recording Engineer.
