Hailing from Los Angeles, Laurie began her education as a student of Music at UCLA, and a graduate of The Grove School of Music with a degree in Jazz and Theory. A songwriter for her whole adult life, since 2015, Laurie has been the Musical Director for Rex & Friends, with CRE Outreach. From 2016 through 2020, Laurie was instrumental in co-producing four separate sold-out, highly-regarded shows in Los Angeles, writing original music, and as Musical Director. Laurie was also the co-founder and former CEO of LPJ Entertainment and LPJ Records.
Laurie wrote the music for The Gift, A Musical, presented by The Kookie Clubhouse Kingdom, which was featured this past summer at the popular Hollywood Fringe Festival. Laurie has additionally co-written, produced, and licensed works for a multitude of indie artists and for music placement in film and television. These include: songs for Nina Repeta, Dawson Creek; CBS's Cold Case and Ghost Whisperer; NBC's Law & Order and My Name is Earl; and ABC's In Case of Emergency. Other projects include music for the trailer for the Reese Witherspoon film, Just Like Heaven; A & E's Biography: Abby Hoffman and Biography: Richard Branson; Canadian TV's The Eleventh Hour; and music for the indie film, The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry. Laurie was also the co-founder and former CEO of LPJ Entertainment LLC, and LPJ Records, producion and writing for "Syryn", and "Sonia & Sabrina, Laurie wrote all the original songs for the original CRE Outreach productions of: "Lost in The Light", and "Point of Extinction"
