Starting in 1995, James established his career in the music business going on tour with Grammy Award winning recording artist CeCe Winans. This major tour won CeCe's first solo album, "Alone In His Presence" a Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album of the Year". CeCe was featured that same year with Whitney Houston on the movie soundtrack for "Waiting to Exhale".
