He has recorded 13 of his own CDs and DVDs, and tours nationally and internationally entertaining thousands of his fans each year. Rob has performed or recorded with Mick Jagger, Joe Cocker, Muddy Waters and many others. Icons who have recorded his tunes include Billy Boy Arnold, The Mannish Boys and Sesame Street. In 2008, Rob was inducted into the Boogie Woogie Hall of Fame, capping a hot career that is still flying high! |

2008 was a busy year for Rob Rio. He released his “Thank You, Joe Turner!” CD, and in March he headlined in the International Boogie Woogie Festival in Amsterdam, Holland, appearing with the New Orleans great Henry Butler. In July, Rob headlined at the 4th Polish Boogie Festival at Cztuchow, Poland. In August, he headlined at the Arches Piano Stage of the Cincinnati Blues Festival with a host of other Boogie Woogie greats, where he was proudly inducted into the Boogie Woogie Hall Of Fame by the Cincinnati Blues Society. Rob starred at the San Clemente Classic Jazz Fest and rocked the full house in Ventura with The Revolvers as part of the "Concerts Under The Stars" series, and in November, he rturned to Belgium and France for a tour with the Belgian great, Renaud Patigny. |
