He also decided to take up the guitar and began performing as a folk rock singer accompanied by guitar and harmonica. He has also worked as an author, film writer, and producer. He produced his first CD in 1999, recorded at DK Studio in Gent, England. He has approximately 60 or more songs to his credit. Dave's goal is also to bring his music to the soundtracks of feature films, a main side interest to his career as a musician . Listeners often compare him to Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, and Bruce Springsteen. He constantly writes new material and enjoys " live " work as much as recording his material. While his personal style is classic folk rock, as a producer, he works in other areas such as hip-hop, dance, and instrumentals for films. His versatility is compatible with many other styles. In addition to his prolific songwriting, Dave has written a book about his life entitled, The Man From Nowhere, a film script entitled, "Autopsy," and is currently producing his wife Patsy's CD. |
