Andrew Markus is a New York based composer who has written dozens of scores for film, video, television and theater. He has written scores for commercials, documentaries and industrial films for The A&E Network, The World Bank, Lowes Theatres, The US Navy, ASME International, The NYFD and The College Boards. His current project is scoring music for JP, JOE & THE DANDYLION BIKE, an animated video release. Andrew was a finalist in the 2000 Turner Classic Movies Young Film Composers Competition.
Mr. Markus' theater scores include AN IDEAL HUSBAND, LOVETALKER, and
the orchestrations for the New York Premiere of ON THE WATERFRONT. His original musicals include SNOW WHITE, SUMMONING THE MAGIC, LUCY'S GRILL and JACK, a futuristic adaptation of JACK & THE BEANSTALK now being developed in the prestigious BMI/Lehman Engel, Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop.
Andrew is a teaching artist for TADA! And The Westside YMCA where he has music directed over thirty musical theatre programs.
