Francis Hooper is an award-winning electronic musician from Vancouver, BC. As an in-house composer for an animation studio, he creates modern music using high fidelity gear in genres including Electronic, Rock, Hip Hop and Pop. He has worked on numerous films (Winter, Discussing Mr. Darcy, Delirium, and A Moment for Democracy) and online games (Toki World, and Discovery Channel Kids, CIE). He won a nation wide Roland Synthesizer Contest for creating an entire song using only the sound of a door. Francis is on a natural high, check out his beats!
Francis Hooper is a true sound geek, graduating top of his class in music production and theory. This young composer has a head start to a very successful career writing music. Francis was introduced to a studio environment by his uncle, francophone pop icon, Jonathan Painchaud, and has worked alongside family members learning what it takes to deliver two Juno Nominated Albums.
Francis is currently working on online flash games including the Discovery Channel Kids game "CIE: Central Institute for Exploration" and "Toki World." In addition, he is co-producing an album of one of Vancouver's most recognized independent artists, Colin Bullock.
