By the age of 18, Blago Simeonov was a clarinetist with professional orchestras and giving radio recitals and concerts of his music in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Holland, and Canada. He also created Fuga Idearum, a one-man multimedia show featuring his poetry, paintings and music, narrated in Warsaw by the celebrated Polish movie actor Gustav Holoubek. The critically acclaimed show moved to Prague and Sofia, where it was stopped by authorities. Recent press: “Frankly nostalgic… The music is cheerful, lyrical, sweetly sonorous.”--Daniel Webster, Music Critic, Philadelphia Enquirer.
In Canada, where Blago Simeonov resides and maintains a studio, he joined the staff of the Royal Conservatory, gave recitals featuring his music, and encouraged and guided his students in composition. Blago then organized the annual Canadian Concerts Series, which was dedicated to woodwind music by Canadian composers. He was invited by the University of Delaware to produce a multimedia work for the University's New Music Festival.
