Classically trained, and a graduate of the first Popular Music degree in the UK, Barry Thompson, the force behind Underwater Music, has played keyboards and sax in assorted Indie Pop, and Ska bands and released lush, quirky Electronica, Orchestral, and Lounge music under various guises, including Baby Grand. His music has been featured on BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, and Radio 1 in the UK, and in various programs worldwide. Underwater Music has also written original music for short films and provided sound design for theatre.
