New England, Pop-Rock artist Sean McCarthy was originally an acoustic artist whose performances combined seasoned, powerful vocals with highly energetic guitar playing. Recently working with a team consisting of a top 20, hit-making producer, a Juno award winning and multi-Grammy nominated producer, Grammy-nominated musicians and other top talents in the music industry, Sean's current release puts a fresh, new spin on his songwriting and sound. His music was recently featured in the award winning MZUNGU documentary.
“Everything Has Past,” Sean McCarthy’s latest release, puts a new spin on his sound after bringing together some of the top talents in the music industry. Produced by Steve Bertrand (The Tories, Avion), the record features drummer Kenny Aronoff (best known as John Mellencamp’s drummer), bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morrisette), guitarist Sean Woolstenhulme (The Calling, Lifehouse) and keyboardist Scott Simons (LA-based Solo Artist). Added to the mix were Grammy Nominee & Juno Award winner James “Jimbo” Barton assisting with engineering & world-class Mastering Engineer Tom Baker (Precision Mastering). The EP contains a power-packed punch of fresh, new material that will fit perfectly into the collection of any fan of today’s new rock music. Bertrand states of the new release, “Snow Patrol meets Kings Of Leon……the best recorded version of Sean McCarthy to date.”
Sean’s prior CD entitled “July” is a collection of three songs highlighting this artist’s versatility. The CD’s co-producer, Todd Bowie, has worked with The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and most recently, Beck, among many other artists.
A cool, hip, bluesy track with a snappy rhythm section, dirty guitar, creative drums fills and Hammond B3 organ hooks. Would work well in TV/Film/Commercial scenes involving money, swagger, confidence, seductive looks/walks. Instrumental, Action, Theme RnB Retro Kitsch
Exciting, alternative/pop/rock guitar driven song about independence, moving on and self-reliance. Would work in film/tv relationship-ending scenes, quitting a job, leaving town, going forward, driving down the highway, this is me, smile on my face, Male Vocals, Pop, Power Pop
Dramatic, fresh, driving drums, bass and electric guitar are surrounded by orchestral hits, smooth piano and string hooks. An ending of uncertainty. Would work well in action, open range, chase and anticipation scenes. Instrumental, Action, Adventure Symph Rock
