Michigan Composer Mathew Thornton has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Composition from Oakland University, and creates music in Dramatic Classical, New Age, Electronica, Folk, and Jazz genres. His compelling scores have won him the People's Choice Award, regional and local Emmy's, Addy's, and a London Art Director's Gold. With 20 years in the biz, his clients include Kellogg’s, Ford Motor Company, Sprint, General Mills, Jeep, Wrigley's Gum, McDonalds and more. Recently, Mathew scored the documentary “Sjaak The World,” which won the Indy Fest Award for filmmaker Brandon Green
In addition to scoring films and national commercials through the years, Mathew Thornton is a session player in great demand. He has recorded with The Ides of March and the World Stage Project, featuring members of Styx, 38 Special, Lynard Skynard, and other 80's rock icons. He has produced albums for a number of recording artists, and has a long list of advertising credits for national level spots.
