With over 45,000 downloads sold in 2013, Melissa Otero is an internationally acclaimed musical artist in both the Latin and Pop/Rock world. Born in New Jersey and raised in Puerto Rico, she honors both her American and Latin roots by writing and performing in both English and Spanish. Melissa's debut LP was released in 2008, and it received massive radio airplay in Europe, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US. Her second album is in the works with Secret Sounds CEO/producer Stefan Moessle and producer Jimmy Deer (Seal, India. Arie, Danica).
Melissa Otero released her first single "My First Everything" in 2006, and it became the #1 single for two consecutive weeks on Hot 96 in Portland, Oregon. Fueled by the success of the single, she immediately released the Spanish version “Mi Primer Amor” together in her first EP and it instantly became a favorite in Colombia with over 500 downloads in its first few weeks.
The release of her first LP in 2008 led to her first US tour visiting the states of Wisconsin, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. The single “10:40pm” was an instant success, becoming the most demanded song for her to perform live with its dramatic chord progressions and solid classic rock ballad feel.
