Lyndon Scarfe is a British musician who has been involved in music production since the early 1980’s. He was originally a keyboardist in the chart-topping Post-Punk band the Danse Society, which released several independent and major label albums. Since then, Lyndon has done a number of remixes, released Ambient and Dramatic music under his own name, released Dance music under the name UltraGlider, and is currently the guitarist with UK band the Black Lamps. His music is influenced by Eno, Cliff Martinez, Clint Mansell, and John Carpenter.
Lyndon Scarfe recently produced a soundtrack album to an imaginary film. The soundtrack is dark, atmospheric, and emotionally charged in the same space as Martinez, Mansell, and Carpenter. The music would perfectly suit a futuristic film noir setting in the style of Lynch, Refn, Tarkovsky, and Soderbergh. His work mixes synthesizers with heavily treated guitars, drums, and pianos, and conjures up deep and rich soundscapes with emotional textures that range from harsh and disorientating to lush, beautiful, and moving.
A bold and brooding opening to a futuristic film noir. Setting a tone of impending danger with discordant stabs of strings and horns leading to an eerie motif. Ends with intense and majestic horn phrase. Perfect for modern film noir, TV Drama, murder mystery, crime scene footage, or documentary, Instrumental, Dangerous, Dark Music
