Hans Fahling has contributed music to countless documentaries from independent filmmakers such as Laurie Sumiye to large network productions, including European ZDF and ARTE. He's also had placements in nationally syndicated TV commercials for clients like Samsung and Tylenol, as well as YouTube and MTV spots and station IDs. Over the last 15 years, Hans has released CDs under his own name (Hans Fahling Quartet) and has collaborated on productions with artists such as The Sharpshooters, Reggie Watts, and Pearl Jam's Uncle Boom.
Hans Fahling has a degree in Composition and Jazz Performance, but he enjoys composing from minimalist styles to epic orchestral scores. Another passion of his is effective songwriting, especially in heavy rocking genres. Hans' main influences run the stylistic gamut, including The Dust Brothers, Thievery Corporation, Sofa Surfers, Rage Against The Machine, Royal Blood, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Meshell Ndegeocello, The Beatles, The Meters, Beck, Prince, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Peter Apfelbaum, John Williams, Carter Burwell, James Newton Howard, Howard Shore, Philip Glass, Hector Villa-Lobos, Leo Brouwer, Hector Berlioz, and Frank Zappa.
