Mahesh Jayawardana (Vocal Tracks)Home: Sri Lanka Mahesh Jayawardana's songs "Kavikar" and "Hamuwuna," which he composed and sang, topped the television and radio hit charts in Sri Lanka. He also wrote the theme song for Poppy Day in Sri Lanka titled "Poppy Malak," and it was sung by 27 singers including Amerasiri Peiries, Edward Jayakody, Keethi Pasquel, T. M. Jayaratne, Latha Walpola, Bathiya, and Santhush. Mahesh created his first theme song for the "Avurudu Kumariya" program, with lyrics by Nilar N. Cassim, and has since created themes for the program for five consecutive years. |

Mahesh Jayawardana released his first full album in 2008, and he has also composed music for a number of advertisements. He also composed music for the song "Weerayo Api" in Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa’s new film "Surangana Lowin Evilla," and he will direct playback music for Lokuhewa’s latest film "Thun Warak Thuna." |
