Sci-Fi psychological is a sub-genre of the wide-ranging science fiction genre. This genre often incorporates elements from thriller, mystery and drama genres in addition to the typical traits of science fiction. Occasionally this genre will border into the also wide-ranging horror genre. The psychological aspect includes elements that are related to the mind or processes of the mind, mental rather than physical in nature. Sometimes the suspense comes from within one solitary character who must resolve conflicts with their own mind.
