Matthew Lee Morgan is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who has had numerous placements in TV shows and national commercials. After touring the US with several award-winning bands (Seconds Flat and the Lackies), he moved to South Carolina to continue performing and work on several projects, including Grammy-winning Yonrico Scott's latest album. Matt has shared the stage with Grammy winner Christian Bush (Sugarland), Jucifer, The Old 97's, Marshall Tucker Band, and Sara Evans. He also worked as a sound designer in NY for major film and theatre productions.
Growing up in a musical home with a father who was a songwriter for a Nashville music publishing company, Matthew Lee Morgan has been around music his entire life. He started playing piano at age 6, trumpet at age 10, and later he picked up guitar, bass, and drums through high-school while attending South Carolina’s prestigious Fine Arts Center.
After touring the US, Matt moved to NY to design sound for film and theatre with Drama Desk recipient, Marc Gwinn. He is skilled on mandolin, banjo, piano, dobro, Ukulele, harmonica, drums, auxiliary percussion, and vocals. Musically talented on a multitude of levels, Matt is able to evoke emotions through his music to all listeners.
