A fluent lyricist and songwriter based in Manchester, England, Ben Jones has been writing and gigging for over ten years as frontman with Northern Beats, the Blacklight, his duo Bones, and as a solo songwriter/performer. He is a mean guitarist with a distinctive voice. His songs are guitar-based, mixing great melodies with rap and instrumental sections. Ben recorded his first album of songs with his high school band the Blacklight in 2009. Keep your eye on him for the recently recorded EP with Bones and various solo releases.

His first band opened for the Music, the Script, the Charlatans, the Guillemots, Idlewild, Stateless, the Mexicolas, and the Stranglers. He has an album and three EPs under his belt and has gigged all over the UK. A track from his first album was picked up by Sony TV for a prominent drama series trailer that ran over three years.
Working with various collaborators Ben is regularly producing new music and building a catalog of thoughtful, inventive, and distinctive songs with instrumentals and alt edits.
