Rooted in Jazz, Blues, Classical, and World music, singer/songwriter Bett Butler honed her skills in theater, nightclubs, and rowdy roadhouses. With a rich palette of vocal colors and a four-octave range, her second album MYTHS & FABLES won a performance grant from the Artist Foundation. Partnering with bassist/composer Joël Dilley, she pens award-winning songs at their studio Mandala Music Production, where they produce tracks licensed by HBO, Food Network, Animal Planet, Discovery, Cooking, Travel, and Playboy Channels.
Bett Butler can scat like an instrument or convey emotional with a whisper or a wail. An exceptional artist, Robert Lindquist of Singer Magazine wrote of her debut album Short Stories, “Her poetry and vision, combined with keyboard prowess and sterling vocalizations, amuse and entertain track after track. This CD is a sheer joy to listen to." Her third album, "American Sampler," placed in the top 10 in the iTunes Great American Songbook category its first week in release and won Best Cabaret Album in the Independent Music Awards.
